Kia Sportage: Mirror / Outside Rear View Mirror Repair procedures

Replacement

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

•	Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.

•	Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

1.	Remove the front door Trim. (Refer to Front Door - "Front Door Trim")

Disconnect the outside rear view mirror connector (A) and loosen the mounting bolts.

Tightening torque :

6.9 - 10.8 N·m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf·m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb·ft)

3.	Remove the outside rear view mirror (A).

4.	Remove the turn signal lamp. (Refer to Body Electrical System - "Turn Signal Lamp")

Install in the reverse order of removal.

•	Make sure the connector is connected properly.

•	Replace any damaged clips.
