Removal
[2WD]
1.
Remove wheel nuts, wheel and tire (A) from hub.
Tightening torque:
107.9 - 127.5 N·m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf·m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb·ft)

  
Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the wheel & tire.
2.
Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor connector.

3.
Remove the rear brake caliper.
(Refer to Brake System - "Rear Disc Brake")
4.
Loosen the upper arm bolt & nut (A).
Tightening torque:
98.0 - 117.6 N·m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf·m, 72.3 - 86.7 lb·ft)

  
Certainly install jack as being danger because of the tension.
5.
Loosen the lower arm bolt & nut (A).
Tightening torque:
137.3 - 156.9 N·m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf·m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb·ft)

6.
Loosen the trailing arm (A) and assist arm bolt (B).
Tightening torque:
A : 98.0 - 117.6 N·m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf·m, 72.3 - 86.7 lb·ft)
B : 137.3 - 156.9 N·m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf·m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb·ft)

7.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
[4WD]
1.
Remove wheel nuts, wheel and tire (A) from hub.
Tightening torque:
107.9 - 127.5 N·m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf·m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb·ft)

  
Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the wheel & tire.
2.
Loosen the wheel speed sensor bolt.
Tightening torque :
6.8 - 10.8 N·m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf·m, 5.1 - 7.9 lb·ft)

3.
Remove the rear brake caliper.
(Refer to Brake System - "Rear Disc Brake")
4.
Loosen the rear axle caulking nut (A).
Tightening torque:
294.2 - 313.8 N·m (30.0 - 32.0 kgf·m, 217.0 - 231.5 lb·ft)

5.
Loosen the upper arm bolt & nut (A).
Tightening torque:
98.0 - 117.6 N·m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf·m, 72.3 - 86.7 lb·ft)

  
Certainly install jack as being danger because of the tension.
6.
Loosen the lower arm bolt & nut (A).
Tightening torque:
137.3 - 156.9 N·m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf·m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb·ft)

7.
Loosen the trailing arm (A) and assist arm bolt (B).
Tightening torque:
A : 98.0 - 117.6 N·m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf·m, 72.3 - 86.7 lb·ft)
B : 137.3 - 156.9 N·m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf·m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb·ft)

8.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
9.
Check the alignment.
(Refer to Tires/Wheels - "Alignment")
Inspection
1.
Check the hub for cracks and the splines for wear.
2.
Check the rear axle carrier for cracks.
