Removal
1.
Disconnect the battery negative terminal, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning to work.
2.
Remove the door scurff trim.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "Door scuff trim")
3.
Remove the center pillar trim.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "Center pillar trim)
4.
Loosen the seat belt pretensioner bolts (A).

5.
Disconnect the seat belt pretensioner connector (A) and then remove the seat belt pretensioner.

Installation
1.
Disconnect the battery negative terminal, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning to work.
2.
Connect the seat belt pretensioner connector.
3.
Install the seat belt pretensioner and then loosen the bolts.
Tightning torque :
39.2 - 53.9 N·m (4.0 - 5.5 kgf·m, 28.9 - 39.8 lb·ft)

4.
Install the seat belt pretensioner connector (A).

5.
Install the center pillar trim.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "Center pillar trim)
6.
Install the door scurff trim.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "Door scuff trim")
7.
Reconnect the battery negative cable.
8.
After installing the seat belt pretensioner (BPT), confirm proper system operation:
• Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off.
