Removal
[2WD]
1.
Remove wheel nuts, wheel and tire (A) from hub.
Tightening torque:
107.9 - 127.5 N·m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf·m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb·ft)

  
Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the wheel & tire.
2.
Loosen the stabilizer link nut (A).
Tightening torque :
98.0 - 117.6 N·m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf·m, 72.3 - 86.7 lb·ft)

  
Set up the transmission jack under the lower arm in order to remove the shock absorber in no-load condition.
3.
Loosen the bolts (A) and then remove the stabilizer bar.
Tightening torque:
44.1 - 53.9 N·m (4.5 - 5.5 kgf·m, 32.5 - 39.8 lb·ft)

4.
Remove the rear muffler.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System -"Muffler")
5.
Remove the rear axle assembly.
(Refer to Driveshaft and Axle - "Rear Hub - Carrier")
6.
Remove the lower arm.
(Refer to Suspension System - "Rear Lower arm")
7.
Remove the assist arm.
(Refer to Suspension System - "Rear Assist Arm")
8.
Remove the upper arm.
(Refer to Suspension System - "Upper Arm")
9.
Remove the trailing arm.
(Refer to Suspension System - "Trailing Arm")
10.
Loosen the rear subframe nuts (A) and bolts (B) and then remove the rear subframe.
Tightening torque:
156.9 - 176.5 N·m (16.0 - 18.0 kgf·m, 115.7 - 130.2 lb·ft)

11.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
12.
Check the wheel alignment.
(Refer to Tires/Wheels - "Alignment")
[4WD]
1.
Remove wheel nuts, wheel and tire (A) from hub.
Tightening torque:
107.9 - 127.5 N·m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf·m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb·ft)

Remove the rear driveshaft.
(Refer to Driveshaft and Axle - "Rear Driveshft")
3.
Remove the differential carrier.
(Refer to Driveshaft and axle - "Rear Differential Carrier")
4.
Remove the stabilizer link nut (A).
Tightening torque:
98.0 - 117.6 N·m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf·m, 72.3 - 86.7 lb·ft)

  
Set up the transmission jack under the lower arm in order to remove the shock absorber in no-load condition .
5.
Loosen the bolts (A) and then remove the stabilizer bar.
Tightening torque:
44.1 - 53.9 N·m (4.5 - 5.5 kgf·m, 32.5 - 39.8 lb·ft)

6.
Remove the rear axle assembly.
(Refer to Driveshaft and Axle - "Rear Driveshaft")
7.
Remove the lower arm.
(Refer to Suspension System - "Rear Lower arm")
8.
Remove the assist arm.
(Refer to Suspension System - "Rear Assist Arm")
9.
Remove the upper arm.
(Refer to Suspension System - "Upper Arm")
10.
Remove the trailing arm.
(Refer to Suspension System - "Trailing Arm")
11.
Loosen the rear subframe nuts (A) and bolts (B) and then remove the rear subframe.
Tightening torque:
156.9 - 176.5 N·m (16.0 - 18.0 kgf·m, 115.7 - 130.2 lb·ft)

12.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
13.
Check the wheel alignment.
(Refer to Tires/Wheels - "Alignment")
