Kia Sportage: Tailgate / Tailgate Trim Repair procedures

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces
without marring the surface.

Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
|

Using a remover, remove the tailgate upper trim (A).

|
| 2. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.
|
Replace any damaged clips.
|

Remove the tailgate upper trim.
|
| 2. |
Remove the tailgate side trim (A) after loosening the mounting screw.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
|
Replace any damaged clips.
|

Remove the tailgate upper trim.
|
| 2. |
Remove the tailgate side trim.
|
| 3. |
Remove the tailgate pull handle caps (A).

|
| 4. |
Remove the tailgate trim (A) after loosening the mounting screws and
clips.

| 5. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.
|
Replace any damaged clips.
