Kia Sportage: Crash Pad / Crash Pad Lower Panel Repair procedures

Replacement

Put on gloves to protect your hands.

•	Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.

•	Be careful not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.

1.	Using a remover, remove the front door scuff trim (A).

2.	Remove the hood latch release handle (A).

3.	Using a remover, remove the cowl side trim (A).

4.	Using a remover, remove the crash pad side cover [LH] (A).

5.	Loosen the mounting screws and remove the crash pad lower panel (A).

6.	Disconnect the crash pad lower switch connector (A).

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Replace any damaged clips.
