Kia Sportage: Engine Control System / Accelerator Position Sensor (APS) Repair procedures

Connect the KDS/GDS on the Data Link Connector (DLC).
|
2. |
Turn the ignition switch ON.
|
3. |
Measure the output voltage of the APS 1 and 2 at C.T and W.O.T.

Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-)
terminal.

2. |
Disconnect the accelerator position sensor connector (A).
|
3. |
Remove the accelerator position sensor (B) after loosening the mounting
bolts.
Accelerator pedal sensor mounting bolt :
8.8 - 13.7 N·m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf·m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb·ft)
